Company History
Steve Carlesco, the owner of Gunsmith Inc. has been serving the industry and its local residents since 1991. The business started in a small shop just off the I95 Turnpike in New Haven CT and relocated a few miles east to Guilford. The new location provided the business an indoor range for testing. Originally, Steve served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Chief Petty Officer for 30 years and spent one year (1966-1967) in Vietnam before before he retired in 1990.
Steve regularly attends local gun shows in the Tri-State area and countless machine-gun shoots throughout the U.S. including the bi-annual Knob Creek machine-gun shoot in West Point KY.
